Missing Hallandale Beach boater found safe in Bimini
A boater, who had been missing for nearly a day, arrived safely Thursday night in Bimini after engine trouble “delayed him,” according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
U.S. Coast Guard officials said Thursday afternoon they were searching for Venice Graham, 53, who left Hallandale Beach at about 8 p.m. Wednesday night for South Bimini, Bahamas. Graham was in a white, 25-foot Hydra-Sport boat and was supposed to arrive in Bimini at midnight.
A friend contacted Coast Guard District 7 at about 9 a.m. Thursday to report that Graham never arrived. This comes a day after Coast Guard crews found four missing boaters near Key West.
