Two men were arrested and charged with attempted murder after detectives say they shot two people in Hallandale Beach and then led an officer on a brief chase on Interstate 95, police said Wednesday.
It all started at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Northwest 10th Street. Officers responding to a call reporting a shooting found two wounded men. Police said a third gunshot victim had shown up at the hospital, but on Wednesday, police said that person was not injured in the same incident.
The shooters, police said, took off in a red Oldsmobile. A Hollywood officer spotted the car and alerted Hallandale Beach. A Hallandale Beach officer then located the car and followed it south on I-95.
It stopped before State Road 836.
Inside were three men.
On Wednesday police announced the arrests of Michael Steven Trimble, 22, and Terrance Juwan Brown, 21. Trimble faces charges including carrying a concealed firearm, grand theft, resisting arrest without violence and two counts of attempted homicide. Brown, who had an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license, faces charges including two counts of attempted homicide.
The driver was not charged.
