One wounded in Hollywood hotel shooting

A person was shot Wednesday afternoon at a Hollywood hotel, according to police.

The shooting happened just after 3 p.m. at Quality Inn, 2520 Stirling Rd.

Hollywood police would not say whether the victim was a man or woman or where in the hotel the shooting took place, citing the open investigation.

The shooting victim was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital and underwent surgery. The victim was in stable condition, police said.
