Teen burglary gang members busted — after 100 break-ins

Authorities Thursday announced the arrest of a suspected 17-year-old ringleader of a gang of burglars believed to have broken into dozens of Broward County homes over the past six months.

Broward Sheriff Scott Israel described the group as "brazen." They typically knock on doors, find no one home and kick or smash their way in while residents are at school or work. They sweep homes for electronics, jewelry, credit cards and other personal information, the sheriff said.
