Water restrictions still in effect for Fort Lauderdale after sewer main breaks

The city of Fort Lauderdale is still working on the two sewer main breaks that caused Thursday’s water use restriction advisory.

Residents should still avoid all water-related recreational activities in the area bound on the north by 38th Street; on the south by Interstate 595/Port Everglades; on the west by Interstate 95; and on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.

Also closed: George English Lake; Himmarshee Canal; all City of Fort Lauderdale public boat launches, including Cox’s Landing/15th Street Boat Ramp; George English Park; Cooley’s Landing; and Riverland Woods Park.
