BSO detectives are searching for the two men who robbed a Dania Beach gas station armed with a semi-automatic weapon just after 4:15 a.m. on Sat. June 4.

Two men used a semi-automatic rifle to clean out a Dania Beach Chevron station’s cash register. A surveillance camera caught the robbery on video, which Broward Sheriff’s Office hopes will help catch the thieves.

Just after 4:15 a.m. on Saturday, two men entered the Chevron at 4051 Stirling Rd. One man approached the store clerk with a bag of chips. As the clerk dealt with him, the other man approached with a semi-automatic rifle. After emptying the register, the man with the chips grabbed a few cartons of cigarettes as well.

The two then ran.

The rifleman wore a gray shirt, dark-green long pants, and a dark baseball cap. The man with the chips and cigarettes wore a black shirt, long black pants, and a black and white baseball cap with black writing on the front.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Theo Woulard 954-321-4553 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 (TIPS) or go online to browardcrimestoppers.org.
