Unsecured car gets lifted from a North Lauderdale gas station
In a moment as shocking as a car crash in the rain, a Broward woman’s car got stolen when she left it unlocked and running as she entered a gas station convenience store.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, La Shawna German left her 2005 Nissan Altima in a resting, but operable state at a North Lauderdale Mobil station at 7100 Kimberly Blvd. on May 27. She left her wallet, including her driver’s license and a credit card, in the car along with her cellphone.
Her in-and-out quickie stop got interrupted when she heard her car door shut. She got to the door in time for a rear view of her car leaving with someone else.
German described one thief to BSO as having flower print blouse and jeans with black hair in a straight crop. Her partner, German told BSO, wore a white tank top, jeans and appeared to be pregnant.
