A food fight at a Broward County high school led to a mess — and some students being led away in handcuffs.
The chaos broke out in the cafeteria and hallways of Piper High after Sunrise police say a food fight spilled over, disrupting classes and causing a disturbance.
When some students refused to go back to class and continued to cause a disruption, police moved in and some students were led away in handcuffs.
“It was a food fight but kids, they didn’t care. They just did what they want,” said student Darias Carias.

Seven students were arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection to the food fight.
The idea of the food fight reportedly came from some students who over the weekend encouraged others to be disruptrive. School officials believe the students wanted the same attention otherschools have received.
