Sunrise woman dies in early morning crash
Ashley Kaye Hess was driving her Chevy pickup south on the Sawgrass Expressway early Saturday when she lost control of the truck, veering into the median, flipping and drifting into the northbound lanes.
Hess, 28, died after being thrown from her truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Sunrise woman wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
FHP is still figuring out why she crashed.
