Second arrest made in the death of a Miami-Dade corrections officer
A second man has been arrested and charged with murder after police say he and another man killed a Miami-Dade corrections officer earlier this year, Pembroke Pines police announced Thursday.
On Wednesday, a Broward County Grand Jury indicted Brian Fairweather, who was arrested late last month, and Ockeeve Sinclair, who was arrested Wednesday in Fort Pierce.
Police say Fairweather, 29, and Sinclair, 21, were responsible for the death of Daveon Hall, 40.
Hall was found dead from several bullet wounds just before 6 p.m. on Jan. 29 inside his Pembroke Pines apartment. During the investigation, police spoke to Hall’s neighbor Tracey Vassall, who told detectives she was in a relationship with Hall. Vassall is married to Fairweather, according to the report.
Both face a first-degree murder charge.
