Biker brawl goes from shots fired to car flipped
After fatally shooting a man Thursday night, Roosevelt Francois zoomed away from a biker club in a car, deputies say.
Broward Sheriff’s Office Pompano Beach deputies caught up to the 30-year-old Sunrise man in Tamarac and chased him for a few more miles before his car crashed, flipping and flinging Francois onto Southgate Boulevard. His minor injuries were being treated at Broward Health North. His next stop is jail on a first-degree murder charge.

Deputies say it’s unclear why Francois shot and killed 25-year-old Hector Ferrer Alvarez. On Facebook, both men posed in leather vests emblazoned with the logo of their biker club, Top Gunz — a screaming skull wielding two revolvers. BSO said the club held an event Thursday night in Pompano Beach at 117 Southwest 15th St.
According to Alvarez’s Facebook page, he worked as an auto technician at the Pompano Beach Mercedes-Benz.
