Worker keeps mopping as two thieves rob Dania Beach Food Mart
As they say in the hourly wage food service industry, if you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean. And the time to clean does not have to stop just because somebody’s committing an armed robbery next to you.
An employee mopping the Express Gas Food Mart at 3401 Griffin Road in Dania Beach demonstrated this during a March 31 robbery. Two men, one armed with a gun, entered the store and demanded money from the cashier. The man on the mop did not stop. He kept doing his mopping even while the thieves came back to check the cabinet beneath the register.
The two robbers are described as 5-10 with slender builds. Obviously, they’re also able to walk on freshly mopped floors without slipping.
