Man arrested, charged with groping teen at Hollywood bus stop

A man was arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior after a 14-year-old girl said he groped her as she waited for a school bus in Hollywood, according to police.

David De Jesus Cuellar, 32, was being held Tuesday night in jail on a $150,000 bond.

According to Cuellar's arrest report, the teen was waiting at a bus stop at about 7 a.m. Monday at 1830 Madison St. near Hollywood Central Elementary School when Cuellar approached her.

“While she was waiting at the school bus stop, she was grabbed by an older white male whom she did not know and has never seen before,” an officer wrote in his report.

The teen told police the man stood next to her on her left side and put his right hand on her thigh and then grabbed her buttocks over her clothing. According to the report, the teen tried to get away, but the man followed.

The teen then texted and called her mom, who came to the bus stop and called police. An officer spotted a man who matched the description at 115 South 20th Ave. The teen later identified him, police said.
