Man dies in pickup truck roller on U.S. 27 in Weston
Armando Torres, 46, was driving a black Ford F-150 north on U.S. 27 with three passengers at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when a box truck or tractor trailer forced it off the road, BSO said.
Torres managed to get back on the roadway, but investigators say he lost control after hitting the truck.
The pick-up truck rolled over several times, ejecting two of Torres’ three passengers. The truck finally came to a stop on the grass on the east side of U.S. 27., just north of Southwest 26th Street in Weston.
Humberto Moran, 44, who was sitting in the back and was thrown from the truck, died at the scene.
Cesar Bolaros, 35, Pedro Perez, 55 and Torres were taken to Broward Health Medical Center with injuries ranging from minor to life threatening.
There was no description of the box truck, BSO said.
