A veteran Miami-Dade prosecutor was arrested late Friday on allegations of driving drunk and leaving the scene of an accident.
Lisa Jacobs, a division chief who handles homicides and other major cases, was booked into a Broward County jail on charges that also include two counts of child neglect with no great harm. Her two children were in the car, said Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky, a spokesman.
The “minor crash” happened on Interstate 95 near exits toward Hallandale Beach, he said. Jacobs, 51, was still jailed on Saturday evening. It was unknown if she had retained a defense attorney.
