A small plane made an emergency landing late Tuesday night on U.S. 27 in Pembroke Pines, police confirmed.
The pilot reported engine troubles before landing the single-engine plane on the southbound lanes of the highway near the 1100 block, Pembroke Pines Police Sgt. Adam Feiner said.
“They landed safely even though it was an emergency landing,” he said.
The passenger and pilot were not injured and there was no property damage. After making a landing on the highway, the plane drifted to the grassy area, allowing police to reopen the road.
