The Broward Sheriff’s Office identified a man killed the day before when he was hit by a truck in Port Everglades.

According to BSO, Alden Waugh, 75, of Biscayne Park, had just finished his shift at Sun Terminals container yard at about 5 p.m. Wednesday when he walked into the path of a truck at the container yard’s checkpoint.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and BSO deputies responded to the yard at 4000 McIntosh Rd. after some reported a pedestrian had been hit. The driver of the truck was identified as Jorge Medina-Lopez, 48, of Miami Gardens.

The accident is under investigation.
