After a hazmat scare, Memorial Hospital Miramar’s ER reopens
Memorial Hospital Miramar's emergency room was shut down Monday night after a person was “exposed to unknown substance,” according to Miramar Fire Rescue.
The person has been isolated and Miramar's Hazmat team was evaluating.
Rescue crews were taking people to Memorial’s sister hospital, Memorial Hospital West, 703 N. Flamingo Rd., Pembroke Pines.
As of 10:15 p.m., Memorial spokesperson Kerting Baldwin said the ER had just reopened.
We have “contingency plans in situations of this kind,” she said.
