Miami officer sideswiped, hospitalized in Plantation

A City of Miami Police officer was hospitalized Sunday after a car accident in Plantation.

The officer was headed to work in the southbound lane of Florida’s Turnpike when she was sideswiped, reported Miami Herald news partner CBS4. The impact pushed the officer’s car into a barrier wall.

She was taken to Plantation Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver was cited for not staying in their lane.
