Broward Health CEO Dr. Nabil El Sanadi remembered at memorial
He was the compassionate doctor, the enthused first responder and brother to police and firemen, the jovial family man and the public’s champion.
The life of Broward Health CEO Dr. Nabil El Sanadi was celebrated Friday among hundreds of medical professionals, law enforcement, firefighters, friends and family at the First Baptist Church in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
El Sanadi, 60, led one of the country’s largest public health systems; on Jan. 23 he inexplicably took his life in a restroom in the lobby of his Lauderdale-by-the-Sea condominium. He shot himself in the chest days after heart bypass surgery.
