Broward Sheriff’s Office investigating reported drowning on Royal Caribbean ship

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported drowning on a cruise ship Saturday evening.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to a call about a child drowning on a Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas ship. The child was revived on the ship as it was returning to Port Everglades.

Fire rescue units are waiting for the ship to return to port to take the child to Broward Health Medical Center.
