One man was killed and another was injured when shots rang out near an Oakland Park apartment building early Monday morning, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. Monday at 2930 NW 29th St. When deputies arrived they found Eugene Randall, 45, and another man — who BSO has not identified — suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both men were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. Randall died from his injuries and the other man had non-life-threatening injuries, BSO said.

Anyone with information is asked to call BSO Homicide Detective Ricky Libman at 954-321-4210 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
