Two men arrested after fatal shooting outside West Park strip club
Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after detectives say they killed one man and wounded a woman at a West Park strip club earlier in the day, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
BSO said Wednesday that deputies were called to a report of gunshots being fired at the Playhouse Gentlemen’s Club, 5775 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd., just before 4 .a.m.
When deputies arrived they found Patrick Christopher Clark, 40, dead in the club's parking lot. A woman inside the club was grazed by a bullet, BSO said.
Deputies later learned that Clark had argued with a group of club patrons earlier in the night. At about 4 a.m. he left the club and walked to his car.
That's when deputies say Roy Stewart, 25, and Burton Harjo, 46, shot Clark multiple times, according to BSO. Clark fell to the ground between two cars.
A woman was struck in the wrist when a stray bullet entered the club through a metal door. She was treated at the club.
After detectives interviewed more than 20 people including patrons and employees, they arrested Stewart and Harjo. Both men have lengthy criminal histories including drug and battery charges. They both face a charge of first-degree murder.
