Northbound I-75 lanes re-open in Weston after more than 7 hours
All northbound lanes of Interstate 75 were re-opened by 6:30 p.m. Thursday, seven hours after a tanker truck carrying thousands of gallons of chlorine crashed and flipped at Royal Palm Boulevard, officials said.
About 700 gallons of concentrated pool chlorine leaked out as the truck lay on its side on the right shoulder of the interstate north of the boulevard's exit, said Mike Jachles, a spokesman for Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue.
