Outdoor concert ends with at least 14 Coral Springs students treated for heat exhaustion
At least 14 Coral Springs High School students were treated Thursday for dehydration and heat exhaustion after falling ill during an outdoor concert, according to the Coral Springs Fire Department.
The school, 7201 W. Sample Rd., was a stop on The High School Nation Tour, a traveling music and arts festival. Students gathered outside the school as performers took the stage.
Fire Capt. Brad McKeone said the students were treated at the concert — by paramedics already there as a precaution. Eleven of the students were released and three were taken to area hospitals.
