Woman shot in Hollywood home, man arrested

Hollywood police officers responding to a call that shots were fired found a woman inside a home early Wednesday with a gunshot wound.

The incident happened at about 5:40 a.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of Dewey Street.

The victim, Mary Ann Gillen, 58, was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives later arrested Gregory Lee, 29. Lee was charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and burglary with an aggravated battery.
