Miramar man arrested in rape of teen girl in foster care, authorities say

Miami Herald File

A teen girl driven from her Pembrokes Pines foster home was sexually assaulted by a man more than seven months ago, authorities said.

Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office arrested him Monday for those alleged crimes.

Jamie Zane Goldbourne, 25, is facing one count of traveling to meet a minor and two counts of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.

Court documents state that Goldbourne met the girl through mutual friends and the two texted to plan a time to meet up. On Nov. 12, he went to her foster home — Children’s Harbor in Pembroke Pines — to pick her up, drove her to his apartment in Miami, raped her multiple times and dropped her back off, according to the arrest report.

The teen reported the incident almost a week later.

Documents said that same day, someone from the foster home told the original Pembroke Pines Police Department investigating officer Goldbourne was planning to come back and meet with another underage girl.

Goldbourne’s arrest warrant was issued in May, and his actual arrest came Monday afternoon. As of Tuesday, he still remains in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $125,000 bond.
