Bicyclist killed by Brightline train in Fort Lauderdale, police said

A man riding a bicycle was killed by a Brightline train on Friday morning when he tried crossing the tracks in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

The incident happened about 9:30 a.m. in the 100 block of State Road 84, police said.

Police have not released any other details.

A woman was killed by a Brightline train about 9:20 p.m. the night before just south of West Broward Boulevard, according to police.

Authorities have not released the victims’ names.
