Helicopter crash at North Perry Airport hospitalizes four people, police say

A helicopter crashed Saturday morning at North Perry Airport, Pembroke Pines police said, the second crash in 15 days at or near the airport.

A Robinson R44 helicopter crashed while departing from North Perry Airport around 11:20 a.m., said the FAA, which will be investigating the crash. Pines police said the four people on board were taken to the hospital with non-life threatneing injuries.

According to audio posted to Instagram on theaviationcircle account, the helicopter carried FAA No. 336SG. That shows up in the FAA online registry as a Robinson Helicopter model R44 owned by Andrade South Florida Services, a business that state records say is run out of a Dania Beach apartment.

On May 29, in a separate incident, a small plane crashed into the lawn of South Florida State Hospital, west of the airport and across University Drive. The two people aboard were treated for their injuries.
