One dead in three-vehicle crash in Deerfield Beach, BSO says

One person was killed and three others hospitalized in a crash in Deerfield Beach Tuesday afternoon involving three vehicles, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. in the 4400 block of Northeast Third Avenue, according to the sheriff’s office.

BSO traffic homicide detectives are investigating the details of the crash, said sheriff’s office spokesperson Miranda Grossman. The condition of the three people who were injured was not immediately available.

As of late afternoon, traffic was closed at Northeast Third Avenue between 48th and 43rd streets, Grossman said.
