Broward County shooting sends man to hospital as deputies trace what happened
A shooting left a man hospitalized on Thursday, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
At around 11:45 a.m., a 911 caller reported that a man had been shot. Deputies responded and found the man north of Sheridan Street and 56th Avenue in Hollywood.
The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, deputies said.
Investigators say the shooting might have happened near Mary Saunders Park in West Park.
BSO’s violent-crime unit is investigating.
