Man on e-bike dies after crash involving Coral Springs police car, officials say

A man riding an e-bike died on Friday night after colliding with a Coral Springs Police Department vehicle, according to the agency.

At around 9:40 p.m., police and the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department responded to reports of a crash near the 4300 block of Riverside Drive.

Police say “an adult male riding an e-bike had collided with the marked CSPD vehicle.” The man was taken to Broward Health North, where he died. Police have not released the man’s name or any further details on what led to the crash.

An upstairs neighbor of the unidentified man told WPLG-Local 10 News he frequently uses his e-scooter and had a helmet on when the crash occurred.
