Several people entrapped after multi-car crash in Broward. Five are injured
A crash involving at least four cars left several people entrapped and five people injured Saturday afternoon in Broward County, fire rescue says.
Just after 2:30 p.m., Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue rushed to calls of a “serious” crash with several people trapped in their cars near the intersection of State Road 7 and Interstate 595.
Fire crews discovered at least four vehicles and five patients, getting to work immediately to free those trapped in the wreckage, fire rescue said.
Two people, who were not identified, had severe injuries and were taken to trauma centers: one to Broward Health Medical Center and the other to Memorial Regional Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for “advanced treatment.”
The conditions of the other three injured people and where they were taken were not released. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
This is a developing story.
