A woman sitting on a hill scrolling her phone Wednesday in Weston was suddenly attacked from behind by a man who was exposing himself, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies said. The man is still on the loose and hasn’t been identified.

Around 4:40 p.m., the man lunged at the woman from behind while she was sitting on the grass near the 16500 block of Golf Club Road, surveillance video released by the Broward Sheriff’s Office shows.

Just before the attack, he was seen “pleasuring himself” in an adjacent parking lot. He was wearing red and black pants with a khaki hoodie.

The two struggled for a few seconds before he got up and ran to a nearby scooter, riding away.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the attack or the man to call BSO Weston District Detective Michael Kravecz at 954-626-4006.

Tips that lead to an arrest and submitted to Broward Crime Stoppers at 951-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
