Broward deputy hit by a car and injured while directing traffic, BSO says

At Broward sheriff’s deputy was hit by a car while directing traffic on Friday morning, officials say.

At around 11:30 a.m., calls came in about the deputy getting hit by a car near Eller Drive and McIntosh Road in Port Everglades, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say the driver who hit the deputy remained on the scene. Paramedics took the deputy to the hospital where his condition is listed as “not life-threatening,” said BSO, which is investigating.
