A missing person was found dead Sunday afternoon in a Margate lake, according to police.
Lucas Hobandy Carmelo-Rios had been missing since about 11 p.m. Saturday, police said. His body was found in the lake near 471 Banks Rd. in the area he was reported missing.
His friends last saw him leaving on foot, and he had “no mental health history,” police said.
There were no signs of suspicious activity, the Margate Police Department said in a Monday news release.
Carmelo-Rios’ case will remain open until it’s reviewed by the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office.
