Hollywood police investigate two linked shootings near Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Hollywood police are investigating two early-morning shootings Friday that occurred back to back along South State Road 7 and are believed to be connected.
Officers responded to multiple 911 calls shortly before 2 a.m. reporting gunfire outside Ghost Bar, located at 5450 South State Road 7 across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound who was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital and is in stable condition, police say.
As officers were securing the first scene near Ghost Bar, a second round of gunfire erupted less than a half a mile away at 5190 South State Road 7. Police said no injuries were reported in the second shooting.
Investigators believe the two shootings are related, though have not yet released details on potential suspects or motives.
