Traffic alert: Crash shuts down a stretch of I-95 in Broward and injures 5
A crash that shut down the southbound express lanes on Interstate 95 near Pembroke Road is causing major traffic problems Friday morning in Broward County.
The three-vehicle collision happened just south of Pembroke Road and left five adults injured, Lt. Michael Kane said. Fire-rescue crews say that two people were designated as Level 1 trauma alerts, two as Level 2 trauma alerts and a fifth patient is being evaluated. All were being taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
Florida 511 reports that the southbound express lanes at Exit 19, Pembroke Road, remain closed. The crash was first reported at 7:39 a.m.
