Broward private school assistant athletic director groped two students, deputies say
Ronison Exavier, an assistant athletic director at Highland Christian Academy, was fired and arrested after Broward deputies alleged he inappropriately touched two students this month.
Exavier, a 24-year-old Coral Springs man, is facing three counts of an authority figure engaging in sexual conduct with a student, two counts of battery, one count of lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct by an adult, according to court records.
On Oct. 15, a female student was sent to Exavier’s office to get her friend’s lost jewelry, a Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest report read. However, when she was doing so, Exavier made comments about how she could change her clothes to “show off her buttocks.”
He then told her to turn around so that he could see her backside and molested her, saying she was “grab-able.” She left his office in “a state of distress” and found safety in one of the school’s bathrooms, the report read.
There, she had a panic attack and her grandmother, who is a member of the school’s faculty, found her. She confided in her that Exavier touched her but did not give her all the details.
Before the medical episode, she told other students in the bathroom what happened, and another female student told her Exavier had done something similar to her in the fall of 2024.
According to the report: At that time, she was in the weight room and was speaking to Exavier about a bruise on her thigh. Rather than treating the injury, he “grabbed and groped” her. In June 2025, he groped her again in the weight room.
Both girls spoke to deputies about Exavier’s alleged molestations. On Monday, he was arrested in his home.
Deputies said he admitted to giving one of the girls a hug in his office and that “his hand may have inadvertently touched her buttocks.”
“He also admitted that his conduct was inappropriate considering his position as a school faculty member, saying he ‘took a step too far’, and that the lines between student and teacher had become ‘blurred’,” the arrest report read.
Highland Christian Academy, a private school in Deerfield Beach, informed parents Exavier was fired and no longer allowed on campus, WPLG-Local 10 reported.
“As of this morning, a public booking record was released regarding the HCA employee, Ronison Exavier, who was accused of inappropriately touching students,” an email to parents read. “As a result, Mr. Exavier has been terminated as an employee and is no longer permitted on the school campus or at any school-related activities.”
