Traffic alert: Hallandale Beach drawbridge stuck in open position
The Hallandale Beach Boulevard Bridge got stuck in the open position, delaying traffic Monday night, according to the city.
Around 6:30 p.m., crews estimated that it could take up to four hours to fix the problem, according to the city.
The issue closed the bridge in both directions, and police officers diverted traffic.
“Significant delays are expected in the surrounding area. We are asking motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice,” the city said.
