Broward home pelted with dozens of bullets. The suspects are still at large

The hunt is still on for a group of four people wanted by Broward authorities for shooting up a rental home Wednesday. New video shows the drive-by and the house pelted by bullets. The suspects are also connected to a Miami-Dade shooting.

Just after noon Wednesday, a newer model blue-grey Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 Coupe pulled in front of the home in the 4800 block of Northwest First Street, Plantation police said. A doorbell camera captured four men getting out and shooting at the home, bullets piercing the wall and debris flying out.

The drive-by only lasted a few seconds before the suspects sped away. There were no injuries.

About 45 minutes later, the same men were in the middle of another shooting in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 and Northwest 103rd Street in Miami-Dade, police said.

Investigators said the car had been stolen from Miami Gardens. The people using the Plantation rental home at the time were also from Miami Gardens, and police believe they were targeted. No motive has been reported by authorities.

Police also said the targeted people are not cooperating. Police are asking for the community’s help on finding leads in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or 1-866-493-8477.
