Shirtless man handcuffed by two guards outside Miramar ICE detention center

A shirtless man was handcuffed while lying face down on the street outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Miramar Tuesday afternoon.

A video provided to the Miami Herald shows two uniformed men handcuffing the man outside the ICE facility at 2805 SW 145th Ave. The men took the hancuffed man inside the detention center’s gates, walked him about 30 yards to a nearby chair under a white tent, uncuffed him and sat him down.

The video does not show what happened next but a Miami Herald photographer saw the man sitting in the chair with his Weathertrol shirt back on.

The man was driving a van for the Weathertrol Maintenance HVAC company. The company did not respond immediately to the Herald’s queries.
