Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives arrested a 15-year-old boy accused of fatally shooting his older brother and dumping his body in a Dania Beach canal Tuesday morning.

The boy, who the sheriff’s office has not identified, was booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center Wednesday on a first-degree murder charge.

Broward deputies and firefighters found the body of 23-year-old Kevin Dominique in a canal near Ocean Waterway Boulevard and Old Griffin Road around 8 a.m. Tuesday, BSO spokesman Carey Codd said.

Detectives determined that the boy shot Dominique at his home at 17 Southwest 6th Avenue in Dania Beach and then drove his brother’s body to the canal, Codd said. The sheriff’s office has not released a possible motive.
