A child is in critical condition after being pulled out of a Pembroke Pines pool on Monday evening, according to police.

Around 6 p.m. officers responded to a home in the area of area of Southwest 69th Avenue and 12th Street regarding a possible drowning.

A police scanner alert indicated a child had been pulled out of a pool. A 3-year-old in cardiac arrest child was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital by Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue. He remains in critical condition, police said.

Police have not identified the child.
