Man stabbed during attempted home robbery in Pompano Beach, deputies say

A man was stabbed during an attempted robbery at his Pompano Beach apartment Wednesday morning, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the reported robbery shortly before 6 a.m. in the area of Northwest Third Avenue and Northwest 12th Street. The victim told investigators that an intruder — later identified by deputies as Ronchristopher Antonio Gonzalez, 33 — had entered his home and stabbed him.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
After a coordinated search involving a K9 unit, deputies located and arrested Gonzalez. He is charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery and crime scene units are investigating.
