One person was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after a shooting in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

Around 5 p.m., Fort Lauderdale police were alerted to the shooting in the 1200 block of Northwest Seventh Street, authorities said. When they arrived, they found one injured adult.

The injury was deemed non-life-threatening, and the person, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, police said.

Details on the shooting or possible suspects were not released. The investigation is ongoing; police urge anyone with information about the incident to call (954) 828-5700.
