Fort Lauderdale police are investigating a shooting Saturday afternoon that left one person injured and another one in handcuffs, authorities say.

Around 12:10 p.m., officers rushed to reports of the shooting in the 800 block of Northwest 10th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale police said. They found one unidentified adult conscious and injured.

They were taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert, indicating a serious injury. Authorities did not say what the circumstances surrounding the shooting were, but one person was detained and no other individuals are being looked for.

It’s unclear if anyone will be facing any charges.
