Deputies said they uncovered more than 10,000 pictures and videos of “child erotica” that a Broward Health IT security director was hoarding on hard drives and cellphones. He was cuffed on Friday, and his employer suspended him.

Kevin Christopher Kull, 41, was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of computer pornography.

“We are aware of and appalled by the allegations made against Mr. Kull,” Broward Health said. “The alleged behavior is abhorrent and in direct conflict with our values. We are mindful of the individuals and families who may be impacted by this deeply troubling situation and offer our sincere support to any who might be affected.”

Kevin Christopher Kull, 41, was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of computer pornography.

On July 7, a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was called to a home that Kull lives in and where a woman who was helping prepare the house for sale found two SD cards, two hard drives and a cellphone that contained child sex-abuse material, an arrest report read.

During an investigation, authorities found 10,861 pictures and videos, including about 7,891 images of girls between 5 and 12 in sexual positions.

There were also images and videos taken from a discrete location, possibly behind foliage or a balcony, of children at a public pool, the report read. Deputies also found Kull had a three-foot-tall sex doll.

Also on the devices were about 178 files of “animated child pornography.” In all, a deputy confirmed that 10 files show child sex-abuse material, the report read.

While arresting Kull on Friday, deputies said they found a laptop that was in his car’s trunk, looked like it had been beaten with a hammer and had its hard drives removed.

As of Friday afternoon, he still remained in the Broward County Main Jail.
