19-year-old woman shot to death in Dania Beach; BSO looking for shooter

A teenager was shot and killed Tuesday inside a Dania Beach apartment she shared with her boyfriend, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened before 3:30 p.m. at 742 SW Fourth Ter., where the 19-year-old lived with her 20-year-old boyfriend.

The teen was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with serious injuries, but later died.

According to BSO, detectives spent Tuesday night “trying to get the truth from the young man about how she died.”

The boyfriend told detectives an unknown assailant drove up, shot his girlfriend and fled in a getaway car. BSO said the boyfriend gave “multiple, inconsistent stories to explain the shooting.”

BSO said Tuesday the shooter had not been arrested. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
