Two children were rushed to the hospital after a shooting at a Broward apartment complex Wednesday afternoon, officials say.

Sometime after 4 p.m., Lauderhill Fire Rescue said two juveniles, whose ages are unknown, were taken to Broward Health Medical Center with gunshot wounds near Northwest 20th Street and 43rd Terrace.

One child was in critical condition; another is in serious condition. Lauderhill police didn’t immediately respond to requests for information on the shooting.

Miami Herald news partner CBS Miami reported the shooting happened in the Summit Palms apartment building.

This is a developing story.
